I am trying to run video files in an continuous loop upon trigger. If I put the media files into a timeline all works great, except you can only have a single time line going and my media timeline has a different timing then my lighting timeline. So it dawned on my that I could set up a trigger page and add individual buttons for each of my media files and call the page a chase, but that doesn't seem to work either. I only get the initially triggered media to play and that is it, no additional chase triggering.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
How to chase media files
Re: How to chase media files
I have already requested this option, but the chase does not work with media buttons.
Re: How to chase media files
pogjack - Late last night I found your earlier posting for the same thing.
While I understand the explanation, I don't understand why a simple variable couldn't be added to the media properties window allowing the user to assign a time for the media since the player cant tell. This would seem to be a reasonably easy and quick way to provide this feature for the growing number of users who would like to chase media files.
I hope the software developers will consider this and put it on the list for the next revision.

Re: How to chase media files
It is possible to chase "TimeLine" buttons ("timeline" contains media files and lighting scenes)
It is not possible to chase "media" buttons ("media" does not contain any lighting info).
Just one remark: our software is basically a lighting controller. Playing media files is just an option which is supposed to be added to the lighting scenes (this is the job of TimeLine).

Re: How to chase media files
I get that the software is "basically a lighting controller", but the programs incredible versatility is one of it's most outstanding features. Wouldn't it be possible to implement a relatively simple work around within the media property box where the operator would enter the duration of the clip manually to be used for triggering?
just a suggestion that I hope is considered as I would immediately use that feature.
Thanks!

Re: How to chase media files
Option "Set button duration" for media buttons has been added in the TODO list.
No date for this, because presently working on a big project.
