Hi gang. Just used ShowXpress for the first time Thursday and opened the club on Saturday. Cudos for easy setup. I have a couple of comments and suggestions, and if they are already present, forgive my ignorance.
Master intensity slider on live screen.
Master BPM on slider.
Ability to have buttons have slider for speed instead of right click and adjust.
RELEASE ALL BUTTONS button.
Abillity to assign a fader channel or group of them to a button to use slider to change value. You could make your own master faders by groups ths way.
Ability to add more button pages.
Drag and dropn buttons on button page.
ALSO i noticed on both current release and BETA that you can't add scenes or pages from the button 2 page. When you right click to add scene or page, nothing happens. I have to built the page in buttons screen 1 and move them to buttons 2
The Preser Button slider only works if its dragged and released. If you click on the slider in a spot you want the slider to smap to, the slider moves, but the values dosent change.
Tried installing software on second machine with same results
If I have missed these somewhere, please let me know.
Cheers!

Re: Suggestions and help.
Either right click where the page title is in Live or click the button labelled "..." next to the page title and press "add page"rrho170 wrote: Ability to add more button pages.
Re: Suggestions and help.
Thats correct. BUT what I mean by pages is pages of buttons, The correct term would be windows for using multiple monitors. By default there are only 2 windows of "pages" available. Meaning you can only see 16 "pages" at a time with out having to change the pages out using the drop down menu. To keep the button sized big enough to read the font and use on my touch screen, I end up having more than 25 "pages" of buttons, and without a release all function, I find myself having to constantly having to drop down and fing buttons that are active on pages that are not in view. I fake a release all by making a macro with one button on each page assighned to it. I can call the macro and turn it back off, acting as a make shift release. FYI this only works on pages with flash buttons set in their page properties.
Re: Suggestions and help.
I do this same thing and while this work around does work, it means having a "Blackout" type button on the page. When using it on a Sequential or Random Play page, now you have a dead spot in your show.. I only use 8 pages and a "Release all buttons" button would be really handy.rrho170 wrote:without a release all function, I find myself having to constantly having to drop down and fing buttons that are active on pages that are not in view. Sorry to bring up an old post, I was just looking for this feature and it turned up in a search. Thanks
Re: Suggestions and help.
ditto on "release all buttons"
Re: Suggestions and help.
ctrl + shift + "shortcut key" triggers the button, and switches off all other buttons.

Re: Suggestions and help.
I am sorry, but I don't understand what "short cut key" is. I tried to make a macro button called "Blackout" trigger by pressing Ctrl + Shift + r (and also "R"). But neither one triggers when that key sequence is presed all at the same time.
EDIT:
Then I tried pressing one after the next and it triggered the key. But pages that don't have blackout buttons that are tied into my Blackout Macro, are not released. So does this mean I still have to put a Blackout button on each page for this to work? Because that is what creates the dead spot in the chase. Plus it takes up page space, which could be used on more uesful buttons.
Sorry for asking if it is a stupid question. I catch on quicly normally. But a release all button still seems like the way to go, unless I am misunderstanding what you are describing.

Re: Suggestions and help.
doesnt ctrl+shift+any unassigned letter, do what you want? Popularly it is ctrl+shift+z because of z's proximity. It releases all active buttons and I use it as a Global Black Out all the time.

AH! I was thinking that I had to map it to a button! Thank you! Knew I was missing something.. Sorry, a little slow today, just got back from vacation..
Thanks again, that works perfect.

CTRL+SHIFT+{keyboard key} releases all buttons and triggers the button assigned to the key.
If {keyboard key} is not assigned to a button, CTRL+SHIFT will only release all buttons.
