Timeline audio stops playing [fixed]

Hi,
I'm running 9.3.16 for some reason the timline has started playing the first audio track selected but then is silent for any other timeleines until I close the program and reopen, then it will play which ever I select but no more, until the next restart. Do you know why this is? I have removed the software version from the laptop and now need to find it again to reinstall as i thought that might do the job. I can't find where to get the same version from? It needs to be that version as I am running the very old DMX 512 boxes from 2015

By the way, it's only the audio from the timeline that is not playing. All the programmed lighting works.

Thanks for the reply, You helped me with another problem I had with the D512 not being recognised which is now sorted with the newer V9.4.3 but this problem is still happening. When I play any timeline, it plays one track but then playing another fails until I restart the laptop. but then fails again after one play. Could you please tell me what might have happened to cause this? Thanks,

Update to the problem... I found disabling the “Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device” Did the trick. It's all working as it should. Not sure why it suddenly had this issue in the first place but all's well that ends well
