[6.00] DMX addressing problem (channel - 1) [fixed]

I am using 6.0. I have several fixtures declared in my setup. It all works fine in 3D. However, my Intimidator 2.0 is configured in Showexpress with a starting address of 41. However, when I run it in real time with the fixture the DMX addresses dont correspond correctly. I had to end up setting the fixture to DMX40 for the control board channels to line up properly. DIP swith 6 and 4 ON, all others off. Is there a baseline setting somewhere that I missed ?

When turned on, the value of switches 4 & 6 equals a starting address of 040, not 041. If you need the fixture to be addressed at 041, turn on switches 1, 4, & 6. Please check your settings again and let us know if there is still a problem.
I checked my software and when dips 4 & 6 are activated, ShowXpress tells me a starting address of 040. Is this not what you are getting?

Showexpress is set to 41. However, I had to set the fixture 40 to make it respond correctly.

You might have a short at Switch 1.

Nope. It works correctly on version 5.2.1

I got nothing...if you can get your hands on a DMX analyzer, you could try checking the value the box is sending.

Thanks for the input..I will head out to my local Walmart and pick on up! LOL...I am getting ready to purchase another DMW box anyway(512 plus) so I will see if the problem follows the hardware. Maybe there is something weird about 6.0 and the usb cable 100. Thanks

I would definately go with the box over the cable. Why limit yourself? I have one at home and an SSA in the club.
As far as the DMX analyser, depending on where you are, you might be able to borrow or rent one. I am pretty good with one company who builds for the major tours so I was able to get a firmware upgrade tool for some Martin lights that saved me some money and time.
