I have the Chauvet Xpress 512 DMX interface and the Show Xpress software ver. 9.1.15


The Manual and the software are both completely different so is therefore hard to follow.

I have been following the Youtube tutorials "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qi3tV9eR1hI&t=10s" and even gone as far a creating my own light fixtures using the information that comes with the lights. I havea Chauvet Obey 70 and the lights work fine with the asigned channels as set in the Obey 70 Manual.


Setting the channels for the Show Express, the lights will not com on or do anything.


On my DMX controller the Xpress 512 the blue light is on indicating power from the USB abd when I run the Show Xpress Software the Red LED flashes and according to the manual that is what it is supposed to do... SO WHAT AM I DOING WRONG¿ ¿ ¿ ¿

That tutorial is 95% ok of for the current software version.
We do not understand why you say "completly different" !
Yes the GUI color is different, but the rest is 95% same.

What can we answer with such question !!!
Please give more details, and then we will have a chance to help you.
Please post also in the correct section of the forum, like for instance "Generator" if you do not understand how to use Generator.

We suggest you also the post a fixture profile requirement (https://forum.thelightingcontroller.com ... f=3&t=2453).
And then we will do the personality file of your dmx fixture for you (for free).
