I'm getting strange stuttering from Generator when movers go slow.

Re: Movement stuttering
Sorry we would like to say "because there is no micro pan and micro tilt channels".

Re: Movement stuttering
To say it with other words:
Your Moving lights have just Pan/Tilt channels --> 8bit resolution = 255 steps possible from left to the right border in generator
If your moving light would have Pan/Tilt channels and Pan/Tilt_fine channels --> 16bit resolution = 65536 steps from the left to the right border in generator
For instance:
If you have a movinghead with 540deree in Pan movement (from 1 end_point to the other one) and no Pan_fine channel, the movinghead could turn by 2.1degree per dmy value
If you have Pan/Tilt_fine channels, your movinghead could turn by 0.008 degree... Its much more accurate

Re: Movement stuttering
Sorry for long awaited reply.
I do understand 8 vs 16-bit
The part I don't understand is if I assign Pan-channel in 2 steps, create a button in Live, add slider to it and control the fixture manual, it moves smooth.
In turn, if I create a generator scene with just 2 points horizontal only (for Panning), the fixture stutters, yet the pan speed used is "virtually" the same (as close to as I manually can manage).
Example is done from dmx value 1 to 255 and back to 1
