Problem with transfer of lightshow (tablet to laptop)

I have exported and then imported a lightshow from a Windows tablet (QuickDMX) to Windows laptop (QuickDMX). All fixtures, programmed buttons etc appear and the USB interface is detected, but no cues will work. Have I missed a step here?
