The reason of this is you added a scene file from a location which is outside of the current lightshow folder.
Then our software has no other choice to store the absolute path.
And when the lightshow is copied/pasted to another computer, the scene files are obviously not found.
It is same as when you insert a picture in a word processing software with the option "link to file".
Please read this for more understanding: https://www.labnol.org/software/insert- ... ents/8144/
You can check if the path is relative or absolute in the file "../YourLightshow/Live/live.ini". For instance, if you read
There must be a scene called "scene1.scex" in the folder "../YourLightshow/scenes/movingheads/".[page1_button3]
line = 3
column = 1
name = movingheads/scene1.scex
title = scene1
Example of relative path: "movingheads\scene1.scex"
Example of absolut path: "C:\Documents and Settings\YourAccount\TheLightingController\LightShows\YourLightshow\scenes\movingheads\scene1.scex"
To avoid that
In order to keep your lightshow transportable to another computer:
- the Steps files must be stored in the folder (or subfolder of) "../YourLightshow/scenes/"
- the Generator files must be stored in the folder (or subfolder of) "../YourLightshow/Editor/Generator/projects/"
- the Pixels files must be stored in the folder (or subfolder of) "../YourLightshow/Editor/Pixels/projects/"
Remark
This problem can also happen with Live - TimeLine.
