Movement range of fixture is shorter in the 3D simulator

Post by Moroko »

I do shows on the go before arriving to location, but it is a bit hard to predict were the light beam will end, when creating in 3DView the fixture in the simulator does not have the accurate range of movement that the fixture I am working on actually has... It does not need to be exact, I looked here and around the program to see if I can tweak this, but no success. I already tried several OS and computers and in all I have the same issue.

Does anybody know how to fix this, or do I need a patch or something? I am running the latest software downloaded from this site V7.1.54

Maybe the range of the movement isn't correct.
If you're using an moving head, you can set the pan/tilt amplitude in the Editor (fixture tab); try to select the fixture with a right-click, then "edit fixture". On the right there is an area were set the 3DView simulation, try to adjust the Pan amplitude and the Tilt amplitude (the numbers are in degree)
Hope this help! :)
