Post by directsound »

I have a Eliminator Lighting Model Electro 196 par can it has several rgb chanals on the same fixture but when i use the color whele it just grabs the first r or g or b chanel and not all of the reds or so on here is the profile I made and the link to the manaule it see if we can fix this as the light is at about 50% WITHOUT groubing the rgb chanels

We made the attached profile.
Effectively, the RGB color wheel is lost with a fixture having following channels "red, red, red, green, green, blue, blue".
The lonely solution is to use the sliders.

As you can see I made a profile ...did I do it wrong or did you change something?
I just want you to be able to group multi colors to work with the color whele..if it cant be done I understand but it seemed like and option.
thanks
Mike

Your file is ok ; we changed nothing.

Our problem is the manufacturers create new fixtures with channels, not in order, or like this fixture: 3 red + 2 green + 2 blue. We do not understand why different quantity for each color ! And think about us of how to manage that ! May be next fixture will have have 10 red + 5 green + 1 blue !

You are right ; we will do like this: the RGB wheel will drive all RGB channels from the fixture, whatever is the quantity of each color (added in TODO list).

I heard that Yellow may be added to RGB down the road in some fixtures as a fourth color. You might want to start thinking about that.

I have used fixtures with RGBYW - they are all ready out there...

In current software, the RGB wheel drives all RGB channels from the fixture, whatever is the quantity of each color.
