MIDI controller for editor

Can you assign MIDI faders to channels in editor? This could help speed up the process of programming shows. I don't see an option to assign MIDI anywhere in editor so I am assuming not.
Thanks
Josh

Sorry but we use midi exclusively for live playing, and not for programming.

Is there a place for feature requests in this forum? I agree that this would be highly beneficial in programming mode as well as in live mode.
I would also like to be able to control a channel assigned to a dimmer pack using a fader. That seems like a very basic feature that should be available.

You should be able to do that. Create a scene with one step of the dimmer channel to 0 and the second step to 255. Then save the scene and add it to a button in live. There is an option on the right click menu called fader button. Then link that button on the midi controller. We do this for strobe rate.

You also can use "Midi Patch" in Preferences for that

Josh - That worked like a charm.
Niffo - I was able to use midi in preferences, which does work, but its global and could cause some issues when you are running your show. If someone forgets that a channel has been assigned in preferences, they might not realize why their lights aren't coming on. But, thank you for sharing that as well. Its good to know different ways of doing things, as they may each have their own application.
THANKS GUYS!
