New level name not saved with "close window" action [fixed]

Post by dkumpula »

In V7, I am not able to type in a unique label name that is not already defined with an icon. It simply resets whatever I type in back to the default name for that icon. In v6, I was able to type in any name I liked (e.g. "Lumia1") and it would save the name I typed and give it a generic icon (a question mark, I believe).

We are not able to reproduce this problem.
Are you able to see that, with a new empty lightshow and only one new fixture ?
If yes, please post (or email) this new lightshow.

I attempted this with a new lightshow and it didn't save the name on the new one either. After some experimentation, I found out what the problem is:

If you create a level and close the dialog (using the X in the upper right-hand corner) when you have entered a custom level name, the name defaults back to whatever the icon name is. However, if you type in a custom name and then tab between the min and max levels, the dialog closes on its own and saves the custom level name.

I believe you want to save the custom name if one is entered when closing the dialog using the X. Alternatively, you might want to add OK and Cancel buttons.
