Sweetlight doesn´t react,when Line Out of the Laptop is used

Hello!

I am using a Sweetlight Cable Interface on a Medion Laptop with Windows 8. The same Laptop is used for Playbacks.

Sometimes Sweetlight does not respond, when the Line Out is used. And there is a humming noise.

Does it help to use a DMX Splitter?

It looks like there is some ground loop between sound equipment and light equipment.
We already heard about people fixing this problem with more professional external "usb to audio" devices.
The isolation in the light side should help, but we can not guaranty that it will fix the problem.
