After creating scenes, programming a show/song in the Timeline is one tedious bit of work. However I can use my outboard MIDI controller to 'play' a show easily on the fly. Now if I could record those MIDI commands into the timeline to later playback on it's own…… that would be awesome.
BTW: I think this software is an very nice bit of kit. While it's a bit clunky to use it has two features that were at the top of my "must have" list…..scene stacking and manual scene fading. And it runs on Macs…..and it has a 3D visualizer (limited as it may be)

actually you can...
check this, for this lightshows i used Ableton and FL Studio... it worked very very great but you need to know the basics about DAW's, MIDI ports and some stuff to get this working...
in ableton i can launch with an external MIDI a complete timeline (audio + lighting synced) with fast response (provided by the DAW)
