So now I have two rooms set up wonderful with two remote dmx controllers now the client asks me can we have the music control the lighs to react to the sound, we have a dbx zone pro outputting to amps, subs etc.
Im just wondering if there is an interface lead/adaptor that I can feed with line level or balanced audio to go to USB rather than putting in 2 x mac minis to reduce the cost I know the macs would give heaps more control and flexibility but im just looking for options.
remote midi interface
Re: remote midi interface
For audio to light, we need a Windows computer.
We suggest a Windows Notebook which is cheaper.

Re: remote midi interface
Is there any particular reason for a windows OS I would prefer a mac mini purly due to form factor and reliability ?
I would like to know is there is any particular software that would be needed or am I just needi g to come out of the zone pro to the audio in on the PC then USB to the remote.

Re: remote midi interface
I was not wanting to use a windows machine due to its unstable IS.
I was looking into trying the raspberry pi as an alternative, but not entirely sure how to use the midi feature to control scenes, let alone the software side of show express
