Missing ShowXpress Manual [fixed]

Post by JBloomrosen »

I would just like to peruse the Manual of ShowXpress, to see if it's what I need, but when I open the Control Board, or the English manual that was included in my download of the program, all I get is a 4kb file that opens to say "Manual Test." This is only a 1 page document. Is it possible to just get the manual somewhere else? I can't seem to find it on your site. Thanks.

And while I'm at it, if I'm trying to use the software for theatrical show design, is this the best designing/running program that you offer for me? Are there others? ShowXpress is all I found on the Chauvet website, and that appears to be most of the lighting I will be purchasing. Any hints as to whether I seem to be headed in the right direction?

The manual is not ready yet. Sorry.
V5 of the software contains a full manual as it is not beta

ShowXpress is a fantastic lighting program for many uses. It depends what your style of lighting is though. If you have a roof of generics and just want to fade some up and others down I would use a normal console. If it is more 'intelligent' lighting based (or all preprogrammed) then I would definitely recommend ShowXpress, it is excellent for 'intelligent' lights.

Hope This helps.

We are working on the manual and it should be completed soon. Once it is done, there will be an announcement made for all to download.
