You kindly posted "demo_show_633" at the above link. The show includes a synchronized sweeping effect using the "small_scan_1" to 6 lights.
You created a great new scene called "small_scans.sce" in which you have set up the time series of the pan/tilt coordinates for the 6 lights to create an excellent follow-the-leader spot effect.
Would you be able to post details of the steps you used in the editor/generator to create this effect?
Many thanks, Rick
demo_show/small_scans.sce.How to make this effect ? [fixed]
Re: demo_show_633/small_scans.sce/How did you make this effect?
You just have to go in Generator, and open the project "small_scans.gpj".
You will see all settings (pan/tilt and color curves, shift values).
You can do this:
- make some changes
- save as a new project
- generate a new scene in Editor
- save this new scene from Editor

Re: demo_show_633/small_scans.sce/How did you make this effect?
Thank you for the response.
In order to generate the overall effect am I correct in understanding that the process goes as follow?
one needs to repeat this process 6 times,
- selecting one of the small_scan# fixtures each time,
- go into the Generator
- reloading the small_scans.gpj project
- shift the phase
- exit Generator after generating a new scene
- save the scene#
After doing this six time ... then you need to merge the six new scenes, to make the final scene effect that has all the lights following one another.
Is this correct?
(Are there any more detail documentation on this aspect of the Generator online?)

Re: demo_show_633/small_scans.sce/How did you make this effect?
No. Select all lights together, and open Generator.

Thank you.
I understand now that the phase slider shifts the relative timing between all the fixtures that have been selected. This allows the direct creation of the follow-the-leader spot effect.
