Open in Editor
It appears as if I use this right-click option, the scene opens but any changes to it are not saved.
Re: Open in Editor
I'm not sure if I understand you but I understand this feature to merely open the scene in Editor. Nothing will be saved until you save it in Editor. And then you would have to re-engage the corresponding Live button to see the new changes. Unless you have the DMX button on for both Live and Editor at the same time.

Re: Open in Editor
If I use the above feature in Live and I even close down Live, make adjustments in Editor, and then save the changes, nothing saves.
Re: Open in Editor
I have not encountered that as a problem before and I don't know what to recommend. I have used the open in Editor feature dozens of times with no problems. I am sorry. Perhaps someone else has an idea?

Is this a problem with anyone using Windows?

I have just created a new lightshow with 1 parcan, created a simple fadein scene, saved it in Editor, created a Live Button, and when I Open in Editor, the scene opens, and I can make as many changes as I want to the scene. When I save the scene, no changes are made to the scene, irrespective if I have closed Live or not.
However, if I "Save As" and replace the scene, this seems to work.

Re: Open in Editor
May be a path problem ? Is the path shown in the Editor title bar correct ?

Re: Open in Editor
There are no paths set in any of the .ini files.
As I said, if I "save as" it wants to save the file in the correct folder.
However on further hunts, I have found the saved file in the folder "c:\Program Files\ShowXpressBeta\Editor".

Re: Open in Editor
That's it. So it is right a path problem. We will try to reproduce it.
