I would like a smooth transition for Preset [fixed]

I am attempting to set up some live buttons using the preset mode in order to use the preset selector as sort of a dimmer. I created a scene with multiple steps representing the various percentages, 10%, 20%, 30%, etc. If I have the steps set on fast transition, it works fine and I can go through the steps with the selector. One of the buttons I want to create is for house lights though, so I would like a smooth transition. I have each step at :05. With the steps set on smooth, the button either doesn't respond or seems to go through some random combination of the steps. Is there something different I need to be doing to make this work? I've tried it with 6.28 and 6.29.

We checked your scene ; so far it works as it is supposed to (always going to selected step, in 5 seconds time).
Please tell us more in order to see the "random combination of steps".

Anyway, "transform preset to dimmer when only 2 existing steps" is noted in TODO list.

I couldn't get it to work with 6.28 or 29, but I just downloaded 6.31 and it seems to work now, so it must be something that got fixed. There was also an issue of the slider not selecting the step right unless you clicked on the slider again after you moved it to the appropriate step, but it appears that issue was fixed as well.
