I really appreciate the progress the software has made with its MIDI options. I currently use use midi CONTROL, with preset buttons, for things like dimming, speed, and colors, and it's great!
In future, please consider allowing two simultaneous MIDI options: Control and Note, for PRESET buttons.
Application: Button controls a strobe(s), with multiple steps that vary the strobe rate; when PRESET is selected: it would be nice if a MIDI CONTROL (fader/knob) could be used to select the step, and then a MIDI NOTE (key/button) be used to active/flash the button.
BTW... Any progress on being able to assign buttons a "priority", for things like spotlights, disco-balls, etc. I sometimes have to use some of my moving effect lights as spots, and the only way I can lock them, while still using my other lights, is to have them selected in Editor (since it always overrides Live)
Kindest Regards,

Re: MIDI control and note for same button...
We already considered this, but we decided to do all with one single midi message for more straightforwardness for "not advanced" users.Control and Note, for PRESET buttons
Still in TODO list anyway (no date for that).
We think this is not a priority, because if other scenes are well programmed with unused channels in "not actived" state, your "priority" scenes will remain safe.I sometimes have to use some of my moving effect lights as spots, and the only way I can lock them, while still using my other lights, is to have them selected in Editor (since it always overrides Live)
