No Dmx Connection

I cannot seem to get the computer and lights linked, I've gotten a few to recognize that there is DMX but nothing works and half te lights dont even recognize the Dmx is there. Thoughts? I am using older technology, windows 2000 and the sweet light box. Thx

I don't know specifically about Sweet light itself but my show press box seems to do that every now and then during boot up. But I just reload the boxes drivers and that does the trick for me. Is there a light on your box indicating it's receiving DMX?
Is the Live or Editor screen have the DMX button turned on?

To Nac1977.
I have used the Chauvet ShowXpress since version 4. Version 4 & 5 worked on Windows 98 and 2000, but version 6 is not very stable on these operating systems.
