Channels will not stay on

Post by chrismathis »

I am using the x-factor with showxpress 6.29 and windows xp. i am having trouble getting channels to stay on. when i turn one seen on, another goes off. i want them all to stay on to stay on unless i turn them off. this is particularly annoying when i have a spotlight on someone and i want to change the background colors and as soon as i do, the spot lights go off. why is this happening and how can i fix it?

Hi Chris,
I didn't take the time to view the video in the above reply, so I don't know if it solved your concern. Basically, you're talking about the single-most important thing to learn about ShowXpress: Scene Layering. The critical concept about layering is that you write scenes that change only what channels you want changed, and all other channels are DISABLED. Also, if the scenes you're changing are all loaded into the same button page in the LIVE window, you need to make sure the page isn't set for "Solo Buttons". Otherwise, clicking one button will turn off all others in that page.
