So my origional problem still kind of happens with the new Live update posted 2/28/13. Here is the chain of events.
As long as Buttons #2 still remains an open window, I will crash when I go from the Buttons #1 tab, to Timeline (with or witout opening a tml file) and then back to the buttons tab again. Live crashes
However, through a tip that I saw above, The Buttons (top bar menu option) works right as Live is opend (first ting I do is go there). I opened the "Buttons Window" option and selected none to remove the second window. Then hit "Buttons" (menu item) and save. the program does seem to be more stable. I can go between Timline tab and back Buttons #1 tab with no issues.
So the crash between Timeline tab and back to Buttons #1 tab, seems to be tied to the second Buttons window (for a second screen) being open.
Now for another crash item, I went to "Buttons" (menu item), then to the "Buttons #2" (to make a Buttons #2 tab) and select "4 Boards". It crashed on me a few times. But just now seemed to work... Hmmm, well, I will keep working.
NOTE, I could not attach me show, it is too big, please let me know a better place. also I exported these shows with the Buttons #2 Window now set to close. I have back ups at home of my show before I did this. Please let me know if you need that.

Sent, I should also mention that In my last posts (tests today) I was using another laptop. It was a Win 7 32 bit, same issues.. So not sure, but it could be the Light show.
Re: Live Issues with 6.33 Beta
Further testing with the Live app, now that I am home, I opened up another show folder to test some more. The problem when Live crashes is always when I have a second Button Window open. As soon as I open Live, I can close that window and open another Buttons tab and do anything I want, no crashes.
Once I am at this point (Buttons #1, Buttons #2 & Timeline tabs only) and I go to open up a button window, Live easily crashes again.
Also, I know you guys are very busy right now, but would it be possible to assign a keyboard key as a shortcut to switch Button tabs? Like "F1" for Buttons #1 tab and "F2" for Buttons #2, or Live mappable for the end user to choose a key. I think the buttons layout in tabs is easier than finding my white mouse cursor on 1 of two white button screens, and then moving it to where I need to be. Then I can just use my iPad as the second screen to hit 2 buttons at a time, or close to the same time.

We are able to reproduce the problem.
Fix is coming soon.

UI looks good so far, I will get the lights out for testing more this weekend. Thanks for the Todo add and all your hard work this far! I am beyond pleased with the quick fixes on this Beta.

Re: Live Issues with 6.33 Beta
@Support - New Live update fixed all my current problems.
Well done team - I also really like what you have done to the master faders.
It is almost exactly as I wanted it in the first place.
The only negative side of it (if there is any), a user with lots of fixtures could find the tagging tedious, but noted that an experienced user could just make the changes in the Live.ini file.
Thanks once again.

Re: Live Issues with 6.33 Beta
Good morning suppport, thanks for the new live.
Installed it.... it no longer crashes.
However......
Some of my scenes no longer work. For instance, with the show I sent yesterday,
click on any of the LED Colorpalette Chases and they dont display, dmx levels are not
being sent. They do work for my par can chases. Doesnt matter if they are being ported
through the master faders or not. Seems to be mostly fixtures with address' above 128 with
multiple steps.
Thanks!

Re: Live Issues with 6.33 Beta
Hello Support,
I think I found the problem:
If a scene has a stepped Channel Transition in editor, it will play in live.
If a scene has a sloping channel transition, it will not play in live.
Thanks,
TimE
