Manual Trigger GO Button

Post by LightWorx »

Hello support. I was wondering if any work has ever been done on the addition of a manual go button for calling scenes or triggering the steps within a scene. There have been tons of work around suggesstions but none of them provide a simple solution for something so useful and basic. Every decent manual light control board has this feature for a very important reason. It allows the operator to sync their work to a live production. I love Show Express software and your constant upgrades.
Thanks LightWorx

Sorry but we can not now, because we are in the middle of a major new version. This hard work will last min until end of November. During this period, it is almost impossible to add a new function (only debugging is possible).

Thanks for all of your hard work! We appreciate it. I too hope you can make this a priority when you get the chance. I believe it will greatly improve the usefulness of the software.

I was also accustom to using a "go" button to step through a stack of scenes, but now I create a board in live for a particular production or song in a concert set. by using all macro buttons, and setting the board to solo, I can put together scenes pretty quick, then step through them by clicking on the next button. I looked for a go button to be added myself, but have come to like this way better than a go button, because if I need to "go back" I can just click on the button I need. for example, if a band repeat a chorus an extra time, I just go back to the button I created for that chorus. works very well once you get use to it.

I have to agree with genlitepro in the previous comment as far as a go button is concerned. Everything I do now is macro pages on a solo setting. Flash buttons can be put in for special fx that override a macro but don't release it. And the last button on a page is usually a a single looped scene so it will play out and release, thus leaving my page clear of scenes to move on to my next page.
