I am new to the software but I can not get the pc to link up all of the software on the computer works until you plug the dongal in. Is it do to a usb 3.0 hub?
Re: No pc link on xpress512
In order to know if the interface is brocken or not, please check it with some other usb2.0 and usb3.0 ports, from another computer.

Re: No pc link on xpress512
I ran it on a usb 2.0 on my other computer and it works. Both computers are running windows 7 64 bit. I think it is a driver error of some sort. I have installed reinstalled and updated drivers. I think the driver is 1.04. I have another laptop I was using as a backup and it runs windows xp. My laptop with the 3.0 port will run the soft ware if you start it before the software is plugged in but if you plug the dongle in and the open the software I get an error. I think at one point is seen a driver error code as 10. Thanks
Re: No pc link on xpress512
Where can I find those drivers and where do I put them. I have tried several different drivers
Re: No pc link on xpress512
You will find them in the web site of the motherboard manufacturer.

Re: No pc link on xpress512
I called the ASUS d they said they could not help me with the problem because all other 2.0 devices work on it and not the 512. Any suggestions. I tried to call support and cant get through. Thanks
Re: No pc link on xpress512
FYI, this problem also exists with some dijing usb devices.
Our interfaces work with all usb2.0 hosts, and the major part of usb3.0 hosts.
We are convinced that, one day, a usb3.0 driver update will fix the problem (same story than some years ago with first usb2.0 hosts).
In the meantime, we are trying to understand why some usb3.0 hosts are not compliant with all usb devices, in order to find a workaround.
Presently, we still not understand what is the usb3.0 host problem.

Re: No pc link on xpress512
We made several tests, and there is a chance that we found the problem of these usb3.0 ports.
We made a workaround, in our source code.
Please try this:
1. open your software folder (something like "../YourSoftware/")
2. rename the file "efk_usb.dll" by "efk_usb_original.dll"
3. copy this file http://download.thelightingcontroller.c ... fk_usb.dll , in the software folder.
In other words, we ask you to rename the existing DLL file, and to use a new one, which should fix the usb3.0 problem.
And please tell us if it works now.
