I've been building a rock show around the ShowXpress software and so far it has been working fantastic. I am using a projector via Screen Control and have been testing with a 6ft VGA to VGA cable. It all worked fine. I purchased a 50 ft cable to use and now when I go to screen mode the software will not recognize the projector. Are there limitations in the length a cable can be, or, is there a workaround that can possibly solve this issue?
We have used 50 metre projector runs with no problem. We do not use the standard vga cable, but use cat5 cable.
There are numerous sites on the web showing pin connections for this.

First of all, thanks for replying and replying quickly. Please let me explain a bit more. I am running out of the Mac Book Pro using the Mini DisplayPort with a VGA Adapter. The Epson projector also has a VGA "computer" connector. Can you please point me to one or more of those web sites that you have mentioned or tell me if there is an obvious flaw with my configuration. Thanks again.

I made 2 cables about a metre in length each with vga socket to rj45 box, and then have various cat5 cables (ie 2 metre, 5 metre, 10 metre, 25 metre and 50 metre)
