Major Update Problem

I am posting this for a buddy of mine. He just installed newest update on his MAC OS and can not activate DMX in LIVE. Button will not go green. Re-installed older version and is having same issue. Everything worked great right before update. Ideas? What other info is needed to help resolve this?

This is a known issue with Windows (please read this: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=1752).
But first time we hear that with MacOS.
1. please check this is not same reason that usual reason with Windows
2. if not, please tell computer model and OS version number.

Thank you for the reply. This is what I have found out.

*Dongle is plugged in at time of problem.
*No Anti Virus or Firewall software is installed on this computer.
*It is a 27"iMac 3.4Ghz i7 16gb of ram
*OS is 10.8.2

Does the DMX button work in Editor ?

The latest MacOS version we can get presently via the "auto update" function is 10.7.5.

He says same problem in Editor and 10.8 is Mountain Lion?

So far we got no bad feedback with Mountain Lion (there is supposed to be several users under Mountain Lion).
And "RiverMedia" said here viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1603 that the software works fine on his Mountain Lion system.
Right now, we have no idea about your problem.
