To Allan

How about a link to the new files you are talking about. The Chauvet Website under DJ section and Showxpress has a zip file from early 2011 on it.

They must just have been updated as they were old ones yesterday!

PiX Par 12 (9CH).txt file - missing Channel level definition

Post by Dust »

I am referring to file: "PiX Par 12 (9CH).txt", date created "Mar 22, 2012 5:06 PM"

I notice that the following entries of the file have no level definitions:
Channel = dimmer
Channel = red
Channel = green
Channel = blue
Channel = color_macro
Channel = shutter
Channel = effect_macro
Channel = effect_speed

Should the dimmer and red, green, blue Channel entries have the level definition = "dimmer,0,255" ? I realize I can add these "levels" easily myself in the ShowXpress Setup app.

The bigger issue is the missing Channel level definitions for:
Channel = color_macro (12 level definitions missing)
000 ? 010 No function
011 ? 200 Color Macros
201 ? 205 White 1: 3200K
206 ? 210 White 2: 3400K
211 ? 215 White 3: 4200K
216 ? 220 White 4: 4900K
221 ? 225 White 5: 5600K
226 ? 230 White 6: 5900K
231 ? 235 White 7: 6500K
236 ? 240 White 8: 7200K
241 ? 245 White 9: 8000K
246 ? 250 White 10: 8500K
251 ? 255 White 11: 10000K

Channel = effect_macro (25 level definitions missing)
010 ? 019 Fade transition (7 colors) 0%-100%-0%
020 ? 029 Fade transition (7 colors) 0%-100%
030 ? 039 Fade transition (7 colors) 100%-0%
040 ? 049 Auto fade transition (random)
050 ? 059 Loop of P1-P4
060 ? 069 Pixel program 1
070 ? 079 Pixel program 2
080 ? 089 Pixel program 3
090 ? 099 Pixel program 4
100 ? 109 Pixel program 5
110 ? 119 Pixel program 6
120 ? 129 Pixel program 7
130 ? 139 Pixel program 8
140 ? 149 Pixel program 9
150 ? 159 Pixel program 10
160 ? 169 Pixel program 11
170 ? 179 Pixel program 12
180 ? 189 Pixel program 13
190 ? 199 Pixel program 14
200 ? 209 Pixel program 15
210 ? 219 Pixel program 16
220 ? 229 Pixel program 17
230 ? 239 Random pixel program
240 ? 249 Pixel program scroll 1-17
250 ? 255 Pixel program scroll sound active 1-17

I'm not sure I can add all these level definitions correctly in the ShowXpress Setup app.
Can someone on the support team complete the profile for us please?

Thank You...

Attached is a screen shot of the PiX PAR 12 SX profile download that I just downloaded. You can see that the ZIP file is dated "6/5/12 (8:59AM)" and the 9CH version within that profile is dated "3/22/12 5:06PM". This March profile is the correct one. Please send me a picture or video of where are you downloading the profiles from so I can see where the problem is.

Thanks for your response Allan. Here is one location I have used. The "PiX Par 12 (9CH).txt" file here is from March 22.

URL: http://www.chauvetlighting.com/showXpress-software/
link to profile zip from here shows: http://www.chauvetlighting.com/marketing/Profiles.zip
The page looks like this. The link is the last item on the page.

I appreciate your help!

Dust,

What exactly is the problem with the profile? Is it that the channels are wrong or that the DMX values are missing per channel?
