Midi Control - sliders required

Post by MikeyMo16 »

Hello, I am running Showxpress and am somewhat experienced with the software. Currently I am having a problem with my midi controller though. I am using American Dj LED panels and am curious about how to control certain functions through the Midi control. I have created a scene that causes the panel's to strobe at full effect. My first question is why does every other value on the Midi slider cause it to turn the scene off? (the strobe is C - 1, N - 7, Value 0-127) My second question is would it be possible to assign one of the sliders to control the strobe from slow to fast (ideally as I move the slider from value 0-127 the board response from slow to fast strobe) or will I have to create multiple scenes that vary in strobe speed?

Our software is presently able to use only the "note on" & "note off" midi info.
Midi sliders management is in the TODO list ; we plan to do it at the beginning of next year.

I'm using the 512 box. Does the 512 Plus allow for that option?
Thanks for the quick response.

Please make this a top priority. I love this software but your gonna lose a costumer if this doesn't get fixed soon. It's essential. Attempting to program over 60 buttons to match different colors if extremely hassling. Especially with new years right around the corner...

not to mention the time it takes to switch between "scenes" on the midi to match the colors. It destroys the timing required to match live music

We are presently very busy with new coming software version (which includes a new program).
We are convinced "midi slider" is important.
We should be able to work on this at beginning of January.
Please be patient some more weeks.

Any idea when this update might be released? I have a very big show one the 20th and it would greatly appreciate it if you could speculate on when this might be available. I would love to know if it might be available soon or if I need to start preparing for the show with out the update..
