I was using Live this past New Year's Eve and Live chrashed. I rebooted and it worked for a while. I have just updated to version 6.26 (Windows XP), SSA interface and now Live will not start. The message is "Live.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
more information shows "AppName: live.exe Appver: 0.0.0.0 ModName: kernel32.dll ModVer 5.1.2600.5781 Offset: 00009e32"
Is this the correct version of Live? Is there something I can do?

Re: Live will not start
There should be no problem with XP Pack 3.
May be a corrupted lightshow (?)
Please send us your lightshow. We will check it.

Re: Live will not start
Hi,
I post in this subject because I have the same problem. It just doesn´t work.
I´m using a HP Laptop with Windows XP Pack 3. The interface is the Cable USB - DMX and the hardware to manage is a Martin "Atomic 3000". The version of the program is 6.281.
I have to say, I´m a beginner, that´s why it´s probably my error... sorry for that.
I think the adress of the strobe lamp is correct, but maybe the operation mode is not. Anyway I attempted a lot of combinations, but the lamp is still doing nothing
I hope you can help me. I send my Lightshow.
Kind regards.

Re: Live will not start
In your lightshow, the dmx input #1 is patched to dmx output #1 with full priority (means no way to control dmx output #1 from Live).
May be this is your problem (?)

Re: Live will not start
Hi,
thanks for the anwer, but I changed the output and that was not the solution.
I realised another problem: The 3D View doesn´t work also.
I send my current lightshow.
Thank you and Kind regards.

Re: Live will not start
Hi Marco,
thank you for the correction.
Unfortunately, the strobe lamp is still doing nothing. What would be the next step? Or maybe the lamp should work now.

Re: Live will not start
Hi Marco,
we found a problem in the connexion of the lamp. That was the reason, because the lamp wasn´t working.
Thanks for your help.
