However, if I add to many channels the Editor will fail. For example, I have a 16' roll of LED ribbon. Each "section" has 3 lights---and each of those 3 has RGB (so really each section has 9 small LEDs). Each channel in the editor controls one color per section. So if I turn the 1st fader channel up the first 3 lights on the ribbon will glow red. The problem is I need to add around 144 channels for the whole 16 feet but after around 50 channels the editor just fails and won't reopen.
I purchased LPD 6803 RGB LED strip last week, and wanted to use the DMX to controll the LED strip, but my chip is not responding to my codes, when i send some serial datas i cannot controll the output. once i connected the LED strip to 12V supply some of the LED glows but it is not controlled by my serial data.
the DMX to LPD6803 recorder uses our DMX-SPI decoder can simply turn normal LED digital light to DMX512 LED light with international standard communication protocol. you can ask the manufacturer to give you the manual.
