wedding hall/beach club adopting showxpress
wedding hall/beach club adopting showxpress
i was just hired by a wedding hall/beach club to direct repairs to their lighting system and retrofit showxpress. system currently runs on lightjockey and the previous maintainance guy is too hard to get. one pc is clearly an original running windows vista or xp and its going to die any day now. building has 3 main zones each with 1-2 universes and multiple sub-zones plus hooking up a few new universes through artnet due to being too far from the pc. im working on a app that runs alongside showxpress. and lets multiple showxpress devices be controlled by the one app. ill try to update this thread with pictures as i go. really exciting!

Re: wedding hall/beach club adopting showxpress
the main installation is done. see video https://drive.google.com/file/d/1g14x1E ... drive_link.
had to use v1 bc v2 doesnt seem geared for permanent installations like this. i only wish i had the color boards in v1 waterwall lights he mentions need to be replaced. they are sealed behind a panel so i havent seen them yet. the page you see is made in lightshow creator, i gave them a custom color maker by making buttons for red green and blue and making each one a vertical fader
stage backlights http://www.proxdirect.com/products/view/636 x10
floor uplights https://www.blizzardpro.com/products/hotbox-rgbw x16
in counter lights https://www.aspectled.com/products/9-le ... 5586182189 x8
screen (new with my installation) https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/ ... ll_hd.html
there are 5 lightbars in the waterfall unidentified as of now, 14 dmx rgb encoders* which are in the ceiling and a strip of lights i havent looked into yet under the bar
my next gig is timecoded programming for a travelling puppet show. exciting!
*funny thing with the rgb strips. i noticed dead spots. turns out confetti sometimes settles on the strips, sealing in heat and burning out the bulb
