Cannot create "NEW" Lightshow

Postby djricoche » 14 October 2020, 22:36

Whenever I try to create a new (empty) lightshow, I get the error - "The folder "WHATEVER NAME YOU ENTER" Cannot be Created. Please Try Another Name" - However it doesn't matter what I enter into the name box - I cannot create a new lightshow. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, etc. and nothing helps. Please assist.

Looks like a problem with Operating System rights.
Like for instance software installed with administrator rights and used with user rights.
To avoid such problems, the software has to be installed with user rights, and used with user rights to.

FYI, our software saves the lightshows in the "home directory" folder (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Home_directory).
The "home directory" is a system folder which is made for that, but the user must have read/write access for this folder.
