create curve in Editor (without Generator)
I want advice on how to create a figure 8 in generator. I have created the scene in generator with a time shift, and it works. However, I have four lights all in slightly different positions about ten feet in front of a traveler curtain. I want the figure 8 to appear on the traveler curtain. However, the lights are in different positions, and the generator duplicates the same pattern for all the lights. Thus, only one light is correct, and the others are going on the stage floor, and off onto the wall. What is the best way to adjust the locations of the the different lights? Should I generate a different scene for each light? Is there a way to adjust the location of each individual light within the generator, or does this have to be done in the editor? I'm in a different location every night, so I don't have a a lot of time to set the locations. Any help would be appreciated.

hi
the movement wil always be a problem if you program them off site,
if us use the movement on location 1 it will appaer on location 2 different
this comes from the fact that not every stage is the same.some bigger some smaller some higher some lower
with the time shift on in generator the movement go later but they wil be the same for every head (you can look at the video of mike)(viewtopic.php?f=32&t=687)
the way that i work arround is to have differtent scene with dimmer, color, shutter, gobo, information '
on site i program the movement scenes or ajust the existing movement scene in editor usely it takes me arround 30 to 60 min to have it the way i want.
later in LIVE you can combine scenes to have the right movement with dimmer, color, gobo
mayby this wil help u

Re: Generator
I figured that I would have to do them separately, but I was hoping there was another way. Is it possible to create a circle curve directly in the editor without using generator? For example, have the transition between point 1 and 2 follow a circular path? I seem to remember an earlier version had the ability to do that.
Re: Generator
Curve movements can not be made straight in Editor. They have to be done in Generator.

Re: Generator
If you are in a different location every night it is better to align your lights. One way is to have all the moving light in the same group have the same center position. First built a scene with all the moving light to center( X=128 Y=128). Mark the center stage (or wall) with an X and physically aligns all the moving light to the center stage mark. Build all your scenes with this setup.
