I had a working light show. Then I installed a Roland USB MIDI controller and upgraded my ShowXPress.
Now none of my timelines work - video and audio from video files do not work.
I created a new Timeline and added a working video. It shows up in the timeline as a tiny icon - not a 4-minute object. The video plays fine in Windows.
I uninstalled ShowXPress, deleted the program files folders, and reverted to version 9.2.3. Same thing.
Why would a working MP4 file only show as a tiny blip in the timeline? Are there some metadata files somewhere that need to be whacked?
Thanks.

Re: Add Media File not working on timeline
Previously, I had the Community codec pack installed in working.
To resolve this issue I uninstalled and then downloaded the K-Lite codec pack and installed it. That fixed the issue.
So the lesson is that any video issues are probably related to codecs. And any update may affect an installed working codec....
