Layering Intelligent Light Scenes [fixed]

Is it possible to set the location of intelligent light scenes, and then have separate layers to add in color and gobo later? For example, I would like to set ten locations of scenes at a show, but it might represent 50 or 100 different scenes when the colors and gobos are added in. That way I only have to position the lights ten times instead of 50 times. Please let me know if this is possible, and how I would make it work.

If I am understanding the question right. Yes, make your "position" scenes and keep the color, gobo etc. channels deactivated, then layer on color and gobos as desired but make sure all the other channels are deactivated that way the scenes that have your desired position is not messed with. Hope this helps, I've made a few scenes that work like that, for example strobing a scene without having to set all the X, Y, color, gobo, I just set a strobe scene with all other channels deactivated so it strobes the lights the way they are.

yes this possible
in editor:
make a scene with all the dimmers on, save this scene
push the new scene button (all channels are deaktivated)
make a scne with all the shutters open, save this scene
push the new scene button (all channels are deaktivated)
make a scene with the color white (or other color),save this scene
push the new scene button (all channels are deaktivated)

in live:
put this 3 scenes in live
push all three button (remember to turn 3d or dmx on in live)
now you have set a scene so that you can see the light in 3d or live dmx output
dont turn it of

go back to editor:
turn 3d or dmx on
for programming movement:
push the new scene button (all channels are deaktivated)
now you programm the position of scene 1, save it
push the new scene button (all channels are deaktivated)
programm position of scene 2 , save it
push the new scene button (all channels are deaktivated)
and so on
for programming colors:
goto live,
push button dimmer,shutter and a position uncheck the color button

goto editor
push the new scene button (all channels are deaktivated)
programm color 1 and save it
push the new scene button (all channels are deaktivated)
program color 2 and save it
and so on

for all other (shutter /dimmer etc you can use this method
but remember :push the new scene button (all channels are deaktivated)

later if all buttons are in live you can layer them

Ok, I'm trying to do as instructed. I created separate color, shutter, speed, gobo, and location scenes. When I run them as buttons in Live, the light does as programmed for speed, location, and shutter, but once I add in gobo or color the shutter turns off. I have made absolutely sure that all channels are down in each scene except for the item I'm programming. By the way, I'm using American DJ Mighty Scans and they don't have a dimmer function. Any help would be appreciated.

After hours of reading the forum and trial and error, I finally figured it out. If I bring up another channel to set the light, then I have to make sure and disable it instead of return it to zero. There is quite a learning curve to this.

With a channel set to level 0 in Editor, how could the software distinguish if you want to force it to level 0, or if you just want to not override it ?
"Disable channel" is a logical solution, in order to layer properly scenes in application Live.
