Can you enable the use of characters and numbers to control buttons as well as letters? a-z,A-Z are used already and It's not practical for me to use an external MIDI controller in my situation.

These keys are reserved for future using of possible new functions.
We do not open them for the buttons, otherwise this will be a big problem if we need them later for some other functions.

That's a bummer. Any chance of a compromise? I could really at least just use the numbers. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0.
I've seen some programs allow you to use additional keys but require you to disable other features to do so. At least in that case, the user can decide and way their options on what is important to them.
In the future, you could implement such an option in the program menu if you provide additional features that require the keys.
