512 Plus Interface

Just added a second 512Plus to my system. Both units power on via usb and they are connect together with a 6 pin mini DIN. The DMX cable is in my 1st 512 plus controller. I have configured the Showxpress software to have 2 universes. My problem is that the original universe doesn't work but the newer one does. How do I get them to both work at the same time. Computer is running 64bit Windows 7 Thanks

The 6 pin mini DIN is to trigger standalone scenes ; nothing to do with the computer.

When you start the software, how many interfaces found does the welcome screen show ?
