Windows 10 and 512 box not connecting

Post by djalexjahn »

Hello,

I just recently got a 2015 dell inspiron with windows 10 64 bit and did a factory reset. I installed show express. Went to plug in the 512 box and of course the driver is not signed. I went though the fix posted on the forum to try and manually update the driver and it still encounters a problem when trying to update the driver (can't verify digital signature. Code 52). Im not sure what to do at this point. Any help would be appreciated.

I also wanted to add that it does work on my 2015 MacBookPro with El Captin. The PC link light doesn't blink very fast like it used to but at least the program loaded and detected the interface.

All of this was working fine on a windows 7 64 bit 2012 HP envy. Now that its gone I need to figure something out and I would rather not run it on my Mac because I will also be DJing off this computer at the same time.

Yep. Exact same problem. Maybe going back to windows 7 might trick the box and get it working

I know they say the digital signature is for 2 years. Wonder now that it is 2017 it is expired the drivers are from 2015.

The drivers will expire after 15-8-2017 or for the Americans 8-15-2017.

This is a workaround, but it effectively works.

So far, our drivers work well with an up to date Windows.

As we say here, viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4256:
Years after years, Windows reinforces the digital signature control for the usb drivers. They recently changed the digital signature encryption algorithm for the latest Windows 10 version. Our drivers have been obviously re-signed using this new encryption algorithm. So now:
- our drivers are suitable with the latest Windows 10 OS
- our drivers are no more compatible with an old Windows version, which is not up to date
This means your OS must be 100% up to date, in order to read the digital signature of our usb drivers.

We are sorry for those who, for an obscure reason ;) , can not update their OS.
FYI, Microsoft says the digital signature update can be done from Windows 7 and higher.

I own 4x of these 512 DMX boxes and use them on various computer models

Windows 10 (Dell & Lenovo)
Mac latest OS

...and all of them work. Now my brand new HP, that is about 30 days old won't work.

Has a resolution been provided yet? I am not looking for a workaround and I already tried installing the drivers manually.

Thank you,
