Howto controle Sweetlight by Midi trigger iPad

Post by dfgnodde »

Hi All,

I did want to controle Sweetlight Controller by an MIDI Pad. my first plan was to buy af novation launchpad but then i thought is already have an iPad with a midi controller.
So i purchased the S1MidiTrigger APP and played with it. all works fin and you even can make your own sliders buttons etc. etc.

Then i thougd it should be posible to use midi over WIFI. after some puzzeling in several forums i came up with the following setup.

For use with Sweetlight you need to have an internal midi server. i found one called LoopBE1 downloadable for free at.http://www.nerds.de/en/download.html

install it and it looks like this

now you need the DSWifiMIDI server. downloadable at https://code.google.com/p/dsmi/download ... .zip&can=2&

install it and it looks like this

Select LoopBe Internal MIDI as input and output.

Now you have to set the prefs in the iPad got to the settings and choose DSMIDI as your server in connection Settings

Now you are ready to go.

(MIDI out does not work 100% stil in developmend)

Good Luck

nice setup!!
i'm doing some experiments with a similar setup... BUT using the next software:

TouchOSC (Android)
and for the MIDI ports i'm using software by Tobias Erichsen
