crash with Apple "USB to Ethernet" converter attached

I reported this bug awhile ago in v6, but just confirmed that it's still present in the latest v7.

ShowXpress on the Mac will not launch when an Apple USB Ethernet adapter (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC704 ... et-adapter) is connected. It just crashes immediately after launch.
