I was just doing some research on software that might give me a cue list that would send out midi signal to control Showxpress. I ran across Show Cue System (SCS) which looks really good. I believe it has the ability to send midi notes out for cue.
My thoughts are to set up a cue list for my next Christmas production at my church, put midi send notes on the cues, and allow that program to run the show sending the midi to showexpress telling what lights, media, etc to do.
1. Any Pros/Cons to this
2. Any better suggestions on software, etc
3. If I ran SCS from another computer, what is the best way you suggest to get the midi signal from one computer to another using the 512 (I don't see a midi input jack on the 512).
I reiterate, a cue list like this one would be SWEET and I believe a very welcomed addition to the already awesome software you have.
Thanks,
Cue List Midi

Re: Cue List Midi
I dont see why you couldnt just use one computer, using SCS as the master to send MIDI commands to SX... you could route the MIDI thru something like MIDI OX or another popular virtual MIDI router...
if you do prefer to use 2 computers you could link them USB, Firewire, or Cat 5
