Song and time in timeline not in sync [fixed]

When i put the song "Can't Stop Partying" by Weezer, (or any other song) into the audio time line to make a light show i should hear the chorus at about 16 - 17 sec and i do if i play it from the very start but if i say drag the green marker or red marker to say 12 sec and play the song from that point, the chorus wont play till about the 20 - 21 sec mark. it is imposable to make a good show like this. The light scenes just wont be at the right time point. I made a light show earlier to "Burn It To The Ground" by nickelback a hour earlier and it runs fine the time and music do line up. The songs are the same format - MPEG - the only difference is bit rate. Nickelback is 192kbps Weezer 222kbps

What is the prob?

1 - upgrade to current version 6.23 (many changes regarding TimeLine and ScreenControl)
2 - use non compressed file format (.WAV)

MP3 codecs run ever so slightly out of time (never the same twice) because the codec is using frames and it is these frames that are doing the damage (same for other codecs)
It isnt audble to the ears but when you run the mp3 next to something tight (like your lighting sow) it then becomes noticeable.

The only way I got around it was using fresh wav files that do not need to be run through a win codec. Since then I have had tight timing.

There is no delete option when working on the timeline's i cant delete scenes on version 6.24 lol other than that it is awsom

Use the "cut" function instead (CTRL-X)
