Request: Resizeable Editor Steps Sub windows

Post by eedetail »

The addition of the Groups window has eaten into the available space for the faders in STEPS portion of EDITOR.
Please consider allowing us to resize individual elements of steps, for my use I would make the 2d pictures of the fixtures as small as I could ( i just dont refer to it), move the Groups sub window up, and make the faders as long as possible.

There are times when I am making new scenes that I will stretch editor across two monitors.... Only 29 faders are now visible, that is four 7 channel fixtures. I often work on scenes for seven moving heads that are 7 channels.

Thanks,

This is not possible to do presently, because the faders belong to the "Steps" tab, and this tab must be rectangular.

The following could be done:
1. adjustable area between "Fixtures / Steps / Generator" tabs and "2DView / Groups" section (like between the faders and abovethe faders)
2. hide / show "2DView / Groups" section

I dont think I have a preference to which method you would use, either would suit me fine.

A hide function would work for me. I almost never use groups as 2D does the trick for me. So if I could hide it, more fader working space for me. And I suppose the same would go for those who don't use 2D but prefer groups. If you could hide 2D and put the groups function where 2D is? More space for faders to work with.
