Great. Experimenting shows that it's possible to add anything in the OBJ format. Thank you!

So here is my contribution to the form. I've been using google sketchup to create object and export them to a *.obj file. Then I put the obj file in the 3D visualizer object directory. I then can add them in the 3d Vis as 3D objects.

Yes, raverezra, youre right.
You just had to experiment a bit with the size of the object, for me it was very small as first and VERY huge the second try
But after some experimenting it was perfect.
