Hello, I'm trying to send a Midi message from a theater cueing program (Multiplay) to ShowXpress, but it isn't working. I tried learn, and it doesn't get the message. Multiplay has a 2nd field for Data 2, but I don't see that in ShowXpress. Not sure if that's causing the problem. I do have a virtual cable set-up and it's showing up in ShowXpress as working. Please advise.

Can you please open the window "Midi logger" (main menu "Windows" > "Midi logger") and tell us the incoming midi messages.

Here's a screenshot. It will only trigger when I have it set to Program, and not control or note.

So if we right understand, it works ok when you set the trigger type to "Program" (?)
This is odd but if it works like this, please go for the selection "Program".
