Sound and light sync - help needed :-)

Hi guys,

First time post!

Looking for any help at all!

I ended up spending a fortune on chauvet lights and u also bought the xpress512s.

My intention was to have all the lights react to my music file or a prerecorded music set or two for my wifes 40th. No live djing.

Its only now I'm realising that this may not be possible without going with different software.

I was happy to map everything but for example with a 1 hour prerecorded set the timeline editor only allows 30 minutes.

There is also no audio beat detection in the software.

Any suggestions on how to make this happen without moving to a different software?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The 40th is in 3 weeks and I've already spent a week looking into this. Even playing the 1 hour set in Fl studio and let fl studio send midi to showxpress. But nothing seems to work.

Thank you guys

Hello,

There are two solutions to run a sound & light show.

1. All (music and lights) in our software in the module "TimeLine".
With our software V9, the audio analyze works only on Windows.
With our software V_II, the audio analyze works on Windows, macOS and Linux, with our program "Sound2Beat".
Here is an example of sync lightshow made with V_II: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdihpWx7vpI

2. Play music with a DAW (like FL Studio) and send midi message to our software
The light scenes are in the module "Live" (or "Boards" in V_II) and FL Studio sends midi commands to trigger the scenes.
Our software V_II is compatible with "Ableton Link", which means "FL Studio" can send the beat to our software via "Ableton Link".
Please watch this for "Ableton Link" using: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UqkTDy3vHc

Pros and cons
solution #1 - more easy to set up (all in our software)
solution #2 - much more accurate beats (because the DAW knows the beat of the music, while our software tries to analyze it in real time)
