Is it possible to add a midi message channel with the media and scene in the timeline page. I use Showxpress with a live band and would like to
be able to change instrument and effect patches during the performance but I only have one midi message option on the button page.

It is possible to create a button which sends a midi message.

The button facility that sends midi can only send one lonely message. If I want to control reverbs, delays and patch changes for guitar
I need to be able to send multiple control on/off and patch change signals.

It is possible to create a "Macro" button which triggers several scene buttons.

This is not a solution. Using the button can only create a single event. Just as the timeline
feature automates multiple scenes in sequence, live performance requires multiple fx and
patch changes over the course of the timeline. All this requires is a track in timeline that
can transmit midi control messages out.
