Bug: Steps not working / Builder Generator pan-tilt reverse
Posted: 26 April 2011, 00:10
Last week I worked with the Chauvet Show Xpress for the first time. There were a few errors which occurred. With the Live playback interface, changing the button to a preset button resulted in the button no longer working. I tried reinstalling the software but it didnt' fix it. Also tried a seperate computer where the same problem occurred. Sometimes the steps would work but most the time it seemed that converting a button to a preset with multiple steps resulted in the button not working at all. watched the DMX output and after changing buttons to steps there was no longer any DMX output for that button. Though changing the button back usually seemed to restore it. I Another thing which didn't seem to work was adding multiple scenes to the second button page or editing the name, etc., from the second button page. Also, as a feature request, it would be nice to have more pages than 2.
Also, the Generator in the scene Builder didn't correctly include the settings for reverse of pan and tilt, which I applied in the fixture settings. In order to get around this I had to manually reverse the pan and tilt in the fixtures, undo the fixture settings and redo all positions in the programming. Likewise, as a feature request, it would be nice to be able to set multiple focal points for the ballyhoo movement effects in the generator. All the lights appear to move with the created shape as I move it around the XY grid, and since there were lights with different orientations, it'd be nice to be able separate the center positions of the movement effects for each light.
And in the Pan/Tilt it'd help to have a speed control because the monitor of the computer at the place of business was a small 15' monitor. That meant that moving the lights with the mouse was too quick, as a small movement of the mouse moved the lights too far, too quickly.
Thank you,
