The Lighting Controller

I have noticed a difference of Live between 5.2 and 6.0 I would like to ask about:

In 6.0 when I click on a Scene Button it engages immediately. In 5.2 when I clicked a Scene Button it would not engage until I released the mouse button.

• I prefer 5.2's style better for 2 reasons:

• 1. 1. I could click on a Scene Button in preparation of a cue, hold for as long as I liked and release at the correct time by releasing the mouse button.
  • 2. I could see if I had the correct Scene selected and if not I could move my mouse off the board area, release mouse button and nothing would happen.

As you can see, in 6.0 that would not be the case. Click a Scene, right or wrong and get that scene the moment you click on it.

NOTE: I know how the "Play/Pause" button works but I find it cumbersome to use in a show setting:

• - Click pause button, mouse to deselect current Scene Button, mouse to select next Scene Button and mouse back to "Play/Pause" button to click for cue. Too much looking at the video monitor when I should be looking at the stage and on Comm calling cues to the Stage Rocket, Fly Man, Video Tech and Spot Ops.

Is this something that will be changed in 6.0 to be more like the Scene Button action in 5.2 or will it stay like it is now?

This should be possible to do for next software version (before spring).

Good point, the fact that it activated on the 'up' click was very usefull, I found it fantastic when I made a mistake!

I second the motion and call for a vote. I could almost not use it without that activation on the release of the click. I will hold down a button until the band does something to cause me to want to use the next screen and they can either pause longer and I agree, it helps whenever I make a mistake.
